Travel Day 1. South Africa - Panorama Route
After you have met your guide, we leave Johannesburg and drive to one of the most scenic stretches of South Africa - the Panorama Route. Here you will see the Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon. This is the third largest canyon in the world with breathtaking views of groups such as God's Window and the beautiful Three Rondavels. In good weather, we will have a view into Mozambique.

Travel Day 2./3. Kruger National Park
In the morning, we drive to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Here injured animals are nurtured back to health until they can be released back into the wild. This visit offers an unforgettable opportunity to look these animal from up close. Afterwards, we make our way into the world-famous Kruger National Park and embark immediately on a game drive. The next day, we continue for a full day game drive on our elevated trucks.

Travel Day 4./5. Swaziland - Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
After a last game drive at the Kruger Park, we travel into the Kingdom of Swaziland. Along the way, we stop at an interesting local market. Swaziland is a landlocked country bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. The next two nights we spend in Mlilwane Nature Reserve. On a walk, we get to explore the wonderful landscape and appreciate its wildlife. In this area no dangerous predators can be found. The second evening, viewers are treated to a unique traditional Swazi dance performance.

Travel Day 6. South Africa - iSimangaliso (Greater St Lucia) Wetland Park
Today, we travel from Swaziland, along the shores of the Indian Ocean, back to South Africa. After our arrival at the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, we have a boat trip. During the sunset we can watch hippos and various birds on the lagoons. This area is recognized by the UNESCO and includes, inter alia, lakes, beaches, coral reefs, wetlands, forests, meadows. It provides habitats for a wide variety of animal, bird and marine life.

Travel Day 7. Hluhluwe - Umfolozi Game Reserve and Durban
We continue to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game reserve where we have a 4 hour game drive. This reserve is the only national park in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, where it is the Big 5 can be seen. Due to conservation efforts, the park has the world's largest population of white rhinos. In the evening we will arrive in Durban. Durban is home to the largest naval port of South Africa's and is known as an excellent surfing area. In the evening, we go eat at a local restaurnt. Durban is known for its Indian food, since it has the largest Indian population outside of India.

Travel Day 8./9. Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park
Today, we drive from KwaZulu Natal to the interior to the Royal Natal National Park This park is part of the powerful and incredibly beautiful Drakensberg. They are the highest mountain range in South Africa with an altitude over 3,000 meters. Guided walks through this incredibly beautiful mountains is a must if you have not already booked other optional activities*.

Travel Day 10./11. Lesotho - Malealea
In the morning, we travel to the border of Lesotho, the "Kingdom in Heaven". A visit to the local village and the primary school is worth a visit. On the remote hiking trails to our accommodation, you will be accompanied by some villagers. Once we arrive, you can choose to relax or partake in various activities.

Travel Day 12./13. South Africa - Hogsback
From Lesotho, we continue to the picturesque valley of Hogsback. It is said that this spot served as the inspiration for the books by JRR Tolkien, who lived here as a child for several years. Now you're spoiled for choice: take a guided hike to the Swallow Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Madonna and Child Falls or take the time to relax a little.

Travel Day 14. Addo Elephant National Park
The Addo Elephant National Park is located near Port Elizabeth and is both a land and a marine park. It is also the home of the "Big Seven" (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whale and white shark) and is home to one of the highest concentration of African elephants on Earth. Enjoy an unforgettable safari where you can watch Africa's wildlife.

Travel Day 15./16. Tsitsikamma National Park
The morning starts with a last game drive after which we leave for the Tsitsikamma National Park. The name literally means "water-rich place". However, it not only includes the wide strip of coastal waters but also the original forest on land. The dense forest with old, up to 40 meters tall trees is one of the last ancient forests of South Africa. In this area there is the famous multi-day Otter Trail, on which your guide will accompany on the first section*. Other activities are also available.

Travel Day 17. Keurbooms River - Knysna
Close to the Tsitsikamma National Park, you will find the Keurbooms River, near Plettenberg Bay. Here our accommodation is located within walking distance of a secluded beach. In the afternoon, you can choose between two options, whether you relax in the hotel or take a short trip to the nearby town of Knysna. Later, you will have the opportunity to have dinner at one of the local restaurants*.

Travel Day 18. Oudtshoorn
Today, we will be visiting the Outeniqua mountains in the direction of Oudtshoorn, where we will also visit the world famous Cango Caves. On the way, you have the possibility to participate on the "Power Van"*. This is a kind of train running on the railway line along the old coastal road between Knysna and George. The Cango Caves contain spectacular halls, large limestone formations and a local guide you explain everything you need and want to know.

Travel Day 19. Stellenbosch Wine Route
We embark on a scenic drive to Stellenbosch, the second oldest European settlement in the Western Province. Our tour continues along parts of Route 62 and a possible stop at Ronnie's Sex Shop (no, not really a sex shop, but rather an interesting pub). Stellenbosch is now the heart of the Western Cape wine region. Given that this is the last evening, we will go to a local restaurant for dinner*.

Travel Day 20. Cape Town
After we have had breakfast, we proceed to the Spier wine estate. There you will have the opportunity to sample some of the best wines of South Africa. Visiting the cheetah breeding project is also a breathtaking experience where you will see these beautiful animals from up close. The tour finally ends in Cape Town.
