South Africa Panorama Route Kruger Park  

Travel Day 1. South Africa- Panorama Route

After you have met your guide, we leave Johannesburg and drive towards one of the most scenic stretches of South Africas - the Panorama Route. It houses the Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon. It is the third largest canyon in the world with breathtaking views of God's Window and the beautiful Three Rondavels. In good conditions you will be able to view into Mozambique.

Kruger National Park Safaris and Tours in South Africa  

Travel Day 2./3. Kruger National Park

In the early morning, we drive to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Here wounded animals are nursed back to health and released into the wild. Then we make our way in the world-famous Kruger National Park and immediately embark on a game drive. The next day we have for a full day game drive on our elevated trucks.

Swaziland Tours South Africa Safari  

Travel Day 4./5. Swaziland - Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

After a last game drive in the Kruger Park, we travel further into the Kingdom of Swaziland. Along the way, we stop at an interesting local market. Swaziland is a landlocked country bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. The next two nights we spend at the Mlilwane Nature Reserve. On the walking safari, we get to explore the wonderful landscape and its animals. In this area there are no dangerous predators. On the second evening, you will witness a unique traditional Swazi dance performance.

Greater St. Lucia iSimangaliso Wetland Park  

Travel Day 6. South Africa - iSimangaliso (Greater St Lucia) Wetland Park

Today, we travel from from Swaziland, along the shores of the Indian Ocean, back to South Africa. After our arrival at the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, we join a boat trip. During the sunset we can watch the hippos and various birds on the lagoons. This area is protected by the UNESCO. It includes inter alia, lakes, beaches, coral reefs, wetlands, forests, meadows and provides habitats for a wide variety of animal, bird and marine life

Hluhluwe Umfolzi Game Reserve South Africa Safari  

Travel Day 7. Hluhluwe - Umfolozi Game Reserve and Durban

Today, we drive to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game reserve for a 4 hour game drive. This reserve is the only national park in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, where it is possoble to view the Big 5. Due to many conservation efforts, the park now has the world's largest population of white rhinos. In the evening we will arrive in Durban. Durban is home to the largest naval port of South Africa's and is known as an excellent surfing area. You can have dinner at one of the local restaurants*. Durban is known for its Indian food, since it has the largest Indian population outside India.

Ukhahlamba Drankensberg Park Royal Natal National Park  

Travel Day 8./9. Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park

After our group members have arrived, we drive from KwaZulu Natal to the interior to the Royal Natal National Park This park is part of the powerful and incredibly beautiful Drakensberg. They are the highest mountain range in South Africa with an altitude over 3,000 meters. Guided walks through this incredibly beautiful mountains is a must if you have not already booked other optional activities*.

Lesotho Tour  

Travel Day 10./11. Lesotho - Malealea

In the early morning we travel to the border of Lesotho, the "Kingdom in Heaven". Here, you will have the option of a popular excursion in the form of pony rides*. Following this, a visit to the village and the local primary school is well worth it. On the remote hiking trails to our accommodation, you will meet some villagers in Lesotho. You may of course relax at the lodge or join other optional activities.

South Africa Hogsback Garden Route  

Travel Day 12./13. South Africa - Hogsback

Today, the tour continues towards the picturesque valley of Hogsback. It is said that this spot served as the inspiration for the books by JRR Tolkien, who lived here as a child for several years. Here you will be spoiled for choice: take a guided hike to the Swallow Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Madonna and Child Falls or take the time to relax a little*.

South Africa Addo Elephant Park Garden Route  

Travel Day 14. Addo Elephant Park

The Addo Elephant National Park is located at Port Elizabeth and is both a land and a marine park. It is the home of the "Big Seven" (elephants, rhinos, lions, buffaloes, leopards, whales and the white shark) and is home to one of the highest concentration of African elephants on Earth. Enjoy an unforgettable safari where you can watch the African wildlife.

Travel Day 15. Port Elizabeth


On the last day of travel we start with a game drive early in the morning before we leave. We travel towards the airport in Port Elizabeth, where the tour will end.

Further Information:

  • Meals: Our safari vehicles have a bush kitchen. Expect good food, but not a 5 star menu!
  • Walbeboachtungen are only possible in the spring of South Africa! After your trip, it is possible to book a whale tour or go white shark cage diving.

Garden Route

The Garden Route starts just after Port Elizabeth. After your South Africa Tour, you can take the opportunity to be part of another organized tour or use your own South Africa / Cape Town rental car. We recommend a route to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Please contact us for a tour of Oudtshoorn (overnight stay on an ostrich farm) on Route 62 to Cape Town. On this scenic tour you can experience the largest wine region and the Little Karoo.

Flights
Should you stay in Cape Town, Knysna, Port Elizabeth or elsewhere to stay in South Africa, we will be happy to arrange domestic flights to Johannesburg for you. Furthermore, it is also possible that you drive your own car to Johannesburg. We are happy to assist you to book a flight or get a cheap rental car.
