Travel Day 1. South Africa - Cederberg Mountain Region
Our tour begins with the departure from Cape Town. Here, you have the chance for one last photo stop in Table View with a spectacular panoramic view of Table Mountain. Our route takes us to an organic winery, where we will have a wine tasting session. After the tasting, we invite you to take a walk with a local guide. After we reach our accommodation in the afternoon, you will get a full briefing of the tour by your tour guide.

Travel Day 2. Namibia - Gariep (Oranje)
On the 2nd travel day, we drive through the Northern Cape, Namaqualand, with a short stop in the remote town of Springbok for the last few errands. Just past the Gariep River, which forms the border between South Africa and Namibia, our beautiful accommodation is located.

Travel Day 3. Gariep (Orange) River - Fish River Canyon
This morning we invite you to either a canoe trip on the Gariep River* (during the summer) or spend some relaxing hours at the camp. After lunch, we continue north to the Fish River Canyon. There we have a scenic walk along the cliff edge to get an idea of how big this natural phenomena actually is. After the walk, we drive back to Ai-Ais, arrive at the accommodation, where you can enjoy the hot springs.

Travel Day 4. Ai-Ais - Kokerboom Forest
Today visit the Kokerboom Forest, which is located in the Kalahari Desert of Namibia. These trees were used by the indigenous Khoisan people for their arrows. In the afternoon, it is possible to view some of the historical sites at the courtyard of our accommodation or witness the sunset in the Kalahari desert*.

Travel Day 5. San Buschmen - Namib-Naukluft Park
One of the geographical gems of Namibia is definitely the Namib-Naukluft National Park. It contains the Sossusvlei, a desert with huge sand dunes and a remarkable landscape. After an optional morning ritual with the Xung (San) people*, we travel through the Namib desert and stay outside the park.

Travel Day 6. Namib – Naukluft National Park
On the 6th travel day, we spent time in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The day starts with a trip to Sossusvlei, where we explore the region and the guide will tell you some interesting facts about the ecosystem. Later, we reach the dune 45, where you have the chance to climb it and have a breathtaking view over the dunes. In the afternoon, we take a short walk in the Sesriem Canyon. After our return to Hammerstein, you can watch the resident big cats* and spend some time relaxing at the camp.

Travel Day 7./8. Swakopmund
Today, we cross the Tropic of Capricorn. Our first stop is in Walvis Bay, where we can see some flamingos. From there, it goes on to Swakopmund, the adventure capital of Namibia. Here you have the opportunity to participate in many optional activities*.

Travel Day 9. Kamanjab - Himba Tribe
In the morning, we journey inland to the northwest towards Kamanjab. Here, we spend some time with the pastoral people of the Himba tribe. The Himba are semi-nomadic and easily recognizable by their distinctive clothing and hair style.

Travel Day 10./11. Etosha National Park
Today we drive to the Etosha National Park. Once we arrive, we continue straight away with a game drive with an elevated truck on which we will experience spectacular game viewing. The accommodation inside the park in Okaukuejo and/ or Halali, are both at a water hole, where you will find many animals.

Travel Day 12. Windhoek
On our last day of travel, we visit a craft market where you can buy African carvings and paintings before we continue our journey to the capital of Namibia, Windhoek. After arriving in Windhoek, we are given a city tour and then you have free time to explore the city center. It is also possible to have a last fair-well dinner with everyone at one of the local restaurants.
