Main Lodge | Mala Mala Game Reserve

Main Lodge at the Mala Mala Game Reserve located between Sabi Sands and the famous Kruger National Park.

Our Main Lodge is located between Sabi Sands and the famous Kruger National Park. You have the opportunity to reach our game reserve with your Kruger Park rental car or by plane as we also have a small private landing strip. The Main Lodge is designed so that you have a beautiful view of the bush and wildlife of Mala Mala. Many international tourists visit our main lodge and during high season, we are fully booked up to six months in advance.

Reasons why our Game Reserve is so popular:

  • It is the largest private game reserve in the Kruger Park - an oasis in the bush.
  • Largest concentration of species on the African continent
  • In our safari bar you can enjoy historic images from the history of the area.
  • The Sand River, one of the few watering holes where animals obtain much-needed water, can be observed from our lodge.
  • Even the flora is very diverse in our area. Massive African trees attract many birds. Elephant, antelope and many other herbivores love the lush green around the Sand River.
  • 6 guests are allowed per safari vehicle - we take 2 Safari tours in the early morning and late afternoon. At lunchtime, a walking safari can be booked with an armed ranger.
